Ivory Lane - Lonely Hearts

Rising Nashville-based singer songwriter Ivory Layne releases her debut EP 'Confetti' today, alongside focus track 'Lonely Hearts'.

Produced by Nick Atkinson and Edd Holloway aka The Barn Productions (Lewis Capaldi, Gabrielle Aplin, Dean Lewis) Jimmy Robbins(Keith Urban, Maren Morris, Miranda Lambert) and Ivory herself, the Confetti EP is Ivory's first UK release since signing with Justin Timberlake’s development company Villa 40 and showcases the unique voice and masterful song writing that caused Timberlake to sit up and take notice of Ivory’s talents.

From the opening song of the EP, December, Ivory's vocal stands outs. Ivory has a very distinctive tone to her voice and there is a lot of raw emotion within the lyrics that come from her voice. December is a really catchy Pop song which will have your feet tapping along.

The EP moves onto the lead single from Confetti, Lonely Hearts. This is a very strong lead song for the EP and one that could easily walk straight into the charts. It has the power and anthemicness to be a Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic) song, it has an epic rise and fall which is very gripping and builds a lot of suspense.

Confetti is next, this is the title track for the EP. This is a very emotional song and from the start you can tell this is a very personal song to Ivory. Confetti really does tell a wonderful story through the lyrics, the build of the song keeps you wanting to hear the song to the last beat.

The EP finishes with a song called God Save the Queens, this is another anthemic pop tune, big, bold, catchy and great rise and fall. Ivory really does have a great template to writing some quality, catchy songs.

Overall, the EP is very fresh, Ivory's voice really stands out with it's power and tone. From the emotion on the songs December and Confetti to the power hits of Lonely Hearts and God Save the Queens, this EP will keep you gripped till the last note. This really shows Ivory's talents as a song writer and ranks her as one of the artists to look out for in 2021.

We can't wait to hear more from Ivory and will be keeping an eye on her career after this EP as we are sure she is destined for the big time.
