We were recently sent the new single, Come Upstairs from Southend-On-Sea band in earnest.
in earnest are a UK alt/indie band, who are writing about our experiences with mental health and the conversations surrounding it. There second single Come Upstairs was released on 3rd July 2020 on all platforms.
The thing that strikes me straight away is the passion in the voice of the lead singer. There is a great range to his voice also, this keeps you gripped to the song from the start.
The melodicness of the backing really makes the vocal stand out and with the strong messages and stories in the words this really connects you to the song emotionally.
I really like how the song grows from the opening, building bigger and bigger and more powerful as we get towards the end of the song.
This song has an amazing message, great words and really does keep you wanting to listen to the song again and again. in earnest have really captured our hearts after this song and we cant wait to hear what comes next from these guys.
